    I find the often used fallacy of appeal to antiquity very funny. The use of a statement, proposition, philosophy or ideal because it's old... so is misogyny, that's really old too.

    This is but one of many fallacies I regularly notice in some of "these" circles. Another one is the appeal to nature, or "it's better/safer/etc, because it's natural." Yew is natural. It'll also kill you, and castor beans, and deadly nightshade, and tobacco (if you eat it), and earthquakes, and tornadoes...

    You know this reminds me of certain peoples that would offer specific prayer/ritual at specific geographical locations at specific times each year. Furthre it reminds me of the Pali Canon mentioning Devas and how they care how a human is showing up or more importantly not showing up. That is to say that these elemental beings may appreciate our prayer/thanksgiving/offerings.

    But it is important to distinct both imo.
    Arrogance means for me not only that one thinks one knows something better then everyone at all costs.
    It also means for me to be condescending.
    I am asking myself currently if it is even possible to be arrogant without being confident.
    While it is possible to be confident without being arrogant.

    When the category "entity" is the highest ontological category existing, then all sub-branches would branch away from this category.
    But each sub-branch is existing in its own way (identity).
    While this braches share similarieties with the parent they create very different unique problems.
    And each attempt of adressing this problems moves us farer away from the answers as they creates more questions then answers?
