Good morning Nexus family! I've been wanting to take an entheogen in a traditional ceremonial manner for like the past year or two, and the opportunity came up since I have been blessed to be a part of a community of the good-hearted, kindred spirits.

So it seems the medicine has come to me, I didn't seek it out by any means. Isn't this what they say, that these kinds of things find you? Well I believe that to be the case now, at least from my experience so far. It truly is a blessing!

This will be my first time working with cactus, let alone the sacred, sought-after peyote. I have never had the opportunity to be in a group session like this with the focus on prayers and healing for the group, so this shall be a very rewarding, emotional experience. I will be back here in a couple days to let ya'll know how it went. :)

Please do write back!

This could be a life-changing experience for you.

My love is with you.

I'm excited to hear how this goes! I'd like to do that, as well, some day.

I wish an awesome journey for you!

I don't know what to say....

I felt energy that I haven't ever before there. However, I feel like it is not in the spirit of these traditions that I go around speaking openly about it. It's a very humbling thing... That being said, I honestly, out of respect for the church, don't want to really share this on the internet. I want to but at the same time I don't know if it is very humble and fully respectful.

I may change my mind but for now, I'll just say that it made me realize I need a closer relationship to the Great Spirit, and focus more, and as humble as I think I may be most of the time, there is still my ego butting in and doubting myself and just getting in the way of my true self, so I still have to work with that.

I know this forum is for the most part, people who respect and take entheogens seriously, unlike some other internet forums, so I feel like it isn't really disrespectful/inappropriate to share this with people like yourselves, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do, just having gone to one meeting so far, to start talking about it so openly...

I personally think it would be in the best interest of the old traditions to share this way of ceremony to people who take it seriously, but I know they highly value respect so I don't want to disrespect them.

Sorry I didn't come back with a detailed report

Sounds like you have the right idea. Glad it was an illuminating experience; now the real work begins ;)

I'm glad to hear you got something out of it, that's all we really need to know....but not all we want to know!!:p

Its ok brother, your silence speaks greater than your words, antrocles has had similar experiences that are..unshareable.
We've all had one or two, given enough time and experiences ;)

"Silence is often the best thing to say."

I respect your decision about not giving a report on your experience. There's a time and a place for everything and sometimes the internet is just not the right place to share intimate details.

I would like to ask a question about something you wrote in regards to the effect the experience has had on you if you don't mind though.

Did you have a religious background and/or believe in god before the ceremony ?

Just want to say that dedication and respect for a tradition is just that, no more no less, but to me that is distinct to the plant itself.
