404 error please read!

excuse me for another post but i have had the urge to post this for a few weeks now. not too long ago a user posted in the open topic section about getting the 404 error for sometime and not being able to access the site. what i am about to tell you is no coincidence. first of all in my humble opinion we are all red flagged. anyone who uses this site is on a list and i believe that without a doubt. i lurked here every single day reading every section as much as i could because there is so much good reading here. if i was in the car and gf was driving id be on my phone on the site anywhere i had free time i was on here. until about a month or so ago when i tried to access the site and got the 404 error. at first i thought nothing of it and figured the site was having some difficulties. i tried later that day still the same 404 error. next day same thing couldnt get on, this continued for 4 or 5 days until i googled the site and which was the current days date on that day and saw that people were still posting on the site. i knew something was up. so what i did is i tried to go to the site again, got the 404 error and asked to borrow my gf phone and while i have mine up with the 404 error i go to access the site from here server and wouldnt you know instant access to the forum! not a coincidence by anymeans i dont care what anyones sais. the govt keeps close tabs on this stuff guys whether you believe it or not. they dont want our kind to rise up and dont want the word to get out. they know we are different just as much as we know we are. i really wanted to share that for some time so thank you for reading!

exactly my first thoughts as i stated above. but with all due respect it doesnt explain the fact that i had my screen from my server which was denied access directly next to hers in both my hands in which hers was allowed access to the site. thanks for your input though

haha i say the same thing actually i literally say it out loud " come get me already i know your watching". but in all seriousness they are definitley watching just look at how you cant purchase mhrb off of ebay or through paypal anymore. they know whats up that wouldnt of happened if they didnt. that was way too easy access for us to get mhrb all day. they cant have that. the eagle eye is watching your activity just because theres no feds knockin at your door doesnt mean they arent watching.

however.. if you make a tinfoil hat at least they wont be able to read your mind too

im only kidding.. im pretty sure they have figured out a way around tin foil by now :lol:

but all kidding aside... i believe it is likely everything posted on the internet is recorded somewhere, isp? (can anyone deny/confirm?).. so even if its not watch it is still recorded (assuming it is) and that could thus be used against you if need be..

to be truly "safe" i suppose your two options would be 1) not do anything that is considered illegal or 2) dont frequent these sorts of sites..

Its totally possible, but IMO the gov has bigger fish to fry. There are tons of sites DEDICATED to the whole rise up and revolt thing, if theyre watching anyone its those folks.

Also, Ive never seen one story about a person who got busted because their online activity was being monitored. Its always because they were selling and it got traced back to them, or neighbors called police about smells, or something along those lines.

thanks for the replies and points of view. im not worried about being busted or any of those things i know thats extremely unlikely. i know what works for me ill frequent these sites until the day the internet is no longer i was just stating that we are being watched. yes they have bigger fish to fry no they are not going to come raid all of us for using this site. i just wanted to post my experience with something that was very odd and wasnt normal site maintainence, if it was then i wouldnt of been able to get on from the other phone while mine was blocked at the same time. you are definitley placed in a certain category im not paranoid i hope they are watching and gettting their rocks off im glad we are all objects of interest.

While I have absolutely no doubt that the Govt's of ours watch these sites, they are silent about it. 404 is a generic programming error code. If the govt. wants to watch you, they are not going to blow their cover by letting you in on their activities with a redirect page.

This is not the same, what is done in countries that use this method is they completely replace the site they want to censor with a 404 message, all traffic that tries to reach it is redirected to a 404. It isn't something that happens intermittently from time to time... it is just a total censoring of the page permanently. I don't see what the government would have to gain by very rarely and very briefly disrupting traffic to a site. That wouldn't be censorship, it would just be stupid.

The other thing people seem to be wondering is whether the 404 is indicative of some kind of surveillance tactic that's being used... seems highly unlikely for a couple of reasons:

1. There is no identifying info on this site. The only thing that could be used to identify us is our email addresses, which are encrypted off-site. If an adversary wanted to find out who we are then this is not the place they would need to watch, it is the off-site server where our email addresses are encrypted.

2. Bearing that in mind, all that is really left for them to do to this site (if they are doing anything) is just read what people are saying and try and gather intel from that. This would just be a case of reading the forum the same way anyone else reads it. I don't see what they would need to do that would be triggering 404 errors.

Maybe if people are concerned it would be a good idea to find out if this is only happening in one place or in various countries. If it is one place and never anywhere else then that could mean something, if it is all over the place then it is far more likely to be something innocent. I'm in the UK, I think I may have got a 404 once when coming here... I log in here pretty much everyday. It may not even have been a 404, may have just been site maintenance or something.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again for anyone else who may need the info... if you ever find you can't get on to a site and you feel it has been censored then use Tor. Also it's worth trying DownForEveryoneOrJustMe to see if the site is just down for everyone.

BTW welcome to the nexus esotericagenda I don't think electric kool-aid was directing that at you, I think he was just giving an example of a use of "404"

mindatlarge: yes it does get sketchy and i usually dont say anything unless im almost positive what im speaking of. a few randoms raises an eyebrow but mine lasted several days almost a week and whats even funnier is the day i had the two phones side by side mine blocked the other not, i took a picture of both screens and explained to a good friend i should say brother on the telephone about the situation and how im going to get the word out and show people. the site worked less than an hour later after almost a week.

phOG you make some valid points and thanks for your input. it wouldnt seem the govt has much to gain from blocking a single or a few people from the site temporarily. they really dont have anything to gain from anybody because they have it all. all the power, all the ancient knowledge all the truths we yearn to seek they have everything. but that doesnt mean they arent watching you to make sure you dont find out too much. it wouldnt be the elite watching us the govt is huge they have thousands and thousands of individuals i assume set aside just for that purpose alone see whose visiting these sites and see how deep they are trying to get. explain why my server was blocked for close to a week until i figured out the situation and it magically worked again. side note very very very similar thing happend when i first saw the move "esoteric agenda" on youtube which if you havnt watched i recommend it, i tried to make the video as viral as i could texting it to people in my phone posting on the comp and i also got a 404 error for two days after i couldnt access youtube.

we will never come to a conclusion everyones is going to have their say, thats what these forums are for and its great i love reading everyones input negative or positive i just wanted to share my experience and my thoughts.

I really don't think it was directed at anyone. I think it was just giving an example of how 404 can be used as an insult.

I read it as:
