5 meo DMT

yeah you're right there is no 5-meo section.. there is the dmt allies extraction section that includes 5-meo but no specific 5-meo forum... This can be a suggestion for a future forum addition, though I wonder if there would be enough posts in that section..
In any case, I tried 5-meo a couple of times recently and its quite weird.. With dmt, you have the wonderful colours and the whole hyperspace thing going on, it's all alive and familiar somehow.. With 5-meo, there's very little to no visuals, and its all some weird feelings in the head (at least thats how it was for me and for some other people).. there is this weird emptyness feeling, like a Void.. Maybe sublingually its better, I dont know, I tried smoking, was I think around 10mg..
btw, about the fact that it has dmt in its name (in its molecule.. ).. So does bufotenine, psilocibin/cin, and also serotonin (and for sure some other inactive molecules too)

I really want to try some but it won't be a while until that happens. You can check out shulgins experiences with 5-meo-dmt, there pretty interesting, i just read them earlier today. look up Thikal..Erowid has some experience reports as well

SWIM likes about 5 mg of the fumarate taken sublingually, or about 500 mg of Virola theiodora taken sublingually.
The experience is nearly on-par with LSD, and very much like LSD, but not very visual, with lots of LSD-style psychedelic mental effects. SWIM has had some extremely beautiful experiences with it sublingually. Smoked, it’s a different beast, quite unpleasant.
At one point SWIM made some 5-Meo-DMT sublingual window pane. It’s great for on the go tripping. The sublingual trip is short, peaks at about 10 minutes and lasts about 45 minutes. It’s a very convenient time frame. Perfect for a lunch break

I can imagine it being quite unpleasant but i wonder if your ego shattered during the trip? It sounds like you reach a totally different place if it does. I think you maybe need to dose higher to get full breakthrough and maybe get the good stuff from it.

Not many, (if any) plant/animal source have been found to have just 5meo. Bufo venom, cebil, phalaris, diplopterys cabrerana all contain 5meo mixed with other alkaloids, yet good luck if one wants to separate it out of the rest. It's not very easy. SWIM recalls some claims that virola theidora (?) resin is rich in 5meo and that it can be taken sublingually or freebased for smoking.
Ive just read that the experience of 5 meo dmt from the virola genus are very intense and unpleasant for most people. i wonder if the people above who tried it maybe got an ectraction from virola and thats why they have kinda bad experiences? Synthetic 5 meo maybe would be better?
