Hi, I've been reading on the nexus for a fair while and it's a wonderful resource here, I love the way everyone is kind and helpful!
I probably would stayed a lurker but last night I had a powerful spice related dream (a real asleep dream ) that I thought I would share with you.
I was a member of some sort of tribe of people living in a 'primitive' manner. There was a building, a "Hall of Voices/Counsel" that I had to go into. The open doorway of the hall was dark and opaque, similar to a video game "portal". There outside the door was a guard standing watch to make sure all who entered passed the trial. The trial before the door was a square pit that extended down into the abyss. A single liana/vine hung down over the pit and slowly swung back and forth of its own accord.
In order to enter the hall, the pit needed to be traversed by swinging over the pit with the vine.
I ran forward, swung over the pit and carried straight through the doorway into the dark.....
Once inside my sense of physical presence dissolved and my vision split into multiple, randomly sizes, frames (like on a webpage) there were warm earthy lights moving in each of the frames with moving silhouettes. Each frame different to the next. In the background I could hear a chorus of whispering and quiet talking. My mind raced with questions, "Why did I take the DMT?" "Who took the DMT?" "Where is this?".
Suddenly I was hit with a overwhelming force, it had the same feeling as when I get sleep paralysis, and a powerful voice rang out straight through to my mind. I instinctively knew it was the voice of a powerful shaman. "While there is internal conflict there cannot be power". I then snapped awake.
This was a really "important" dream to me, I'm always a vivid dreamer but some dreams (like this one) have a real feeling of significance. I tried to lock as much of it in as I could when I woke up but I still feel like I lost some of it. I think flying through the doorway represents a breakthrough experience and the pit/vine is closely related but I haven't pinned it down yet.
Well this is my first post, the first of many I hope.
Peace
