Hey guys
Last night I finished up my first extraction and I must say the result was incredible. 50 grams of acacia confusa was used for cyb's tek, yielding fine, white crystalline powder, along with a bit of yellow goop. Bioassay revealed it to be very (very) potent. I had an earth shattering breakthrough, which was so powerful that I'm thinking of writing up a report.
So, while I'm quite satisfied with the quality of my spice, one thing still vexes me: the QUANTITY of it. .3 grams was yielded in total, yellow goop and all.
This is low, right? .6%? I was under the impression that cyb's tek could yield up to 2%.
I understand that many factors can influence the yield, including the quality of the bark. This is a bit troubling to me, as I still have almost a kilo.
Basically I'm trying to figure out if my bark is weaksauce or if I just need to get better at extracting.
I'm wondering, should I repeat the same process and see if more is to be gained? Or try my hand at another tek? Ideally a new tek would use shredded bark instead of powdered, as grinding it proved to be quite a pain in the ass.
Thanks in advance
