A First, a Continuation, a Step, a Journey

Hi,

Like everyone, I guessed i stumbled across dmt-nexus as a result of the never ending quest to seek more answers to more questions. But this is the place to tell a little about oneself and not ask the questions :)

Half a century done, or just about, and a month back from a retreat where for 3 nights in a row we partook in Ayahuasca tea ceremonies. The first night I found love. OMFG, I found LOVE!!! It was so intense, so beautiful, so real.... and I had known it was there all the time, but it took Ayahuasca to show me that I could love beyond my immediately family to the whole world.

The next two nights were also amazing journeys, but different.

Like a lot of people I imagine, I have returned to a 'science' and an occupation that I was heavily involved in in my youth and early 20s. Like a lot of people, earning a living and bringing up a family rather tainted the sunglasses and got in the way of hedonism and exploration. Like a lot of people I guess, I have steadily become more and more disgusted at the way we are destroying our planet and ourselves. Like a lot of people, I knew that tantra has overlaps with love, and love with energy, and energy with movement, and movement with pilates and yoga, and yoga with healthy eating, and vegan with plants, and plants with entheogens, and entheogens with drugs, and drugs with consciousness and so on ... ad infinitum.

MD and other phenylamines are wonderful, but carry risks sometimes and don't lead to intimate personal discovery (although I agree they can be used for therapeutic treatment). Tryptamines. Arh!! My first love. Acid, Shrooms, those wild days in the 70s. Pink Floyd concerts. Glasto, Stonehenge, mmmmmm.

Ayahuasca has opened the door, and having devoured James Oroc's amazing book, the Tryptamine Palace, I know the next steps are into nnDMT and 5-me0-DMT. Both sit on the shelf and smile at me. Oh, I have a journey ahead and I am looking forward to this soooooo much!!!

Much love :)

Hi there :) Love your comment about the interconnectedness of it all, how so many of us searching in this 'sphere' have been drawn to the same philosophies. It's an interesting pattern for sure

Hey Ax,

Im about a quarter less than yours, but am glad to have seen your take and learned about your experiences. Did you stop taking psychedlics completely when you were involved with your family? What got you interested in the ayahuasca experience, and how about your wife/partner? How did he/she like the experience, and has your relationship changed with him/her and your family?

Welcome to the Nexus,

Napp

Welcome Ax;

The quest has found me here too.:)

I am of your vintage but with no prior science experience to draw on.

Read Orocs book as well, inspired me to take up chemistry...

We are on the right path.

peace

Hi Amaxxx,

Welcome to the Nexus! A fine vintage indeed! I am only about 7 years away myself. Good to see more diversity here every day.

I loved your introduction. Inspirational! Much of what you said resonated with me from the interconnectedness to the affinity for tryptamines.

Again, welcome!
