A game about DMT

Self-container

I am in me
I saw this reddit post today, and found it quite amazing. It's a post from a game developer intending to make a game where the player's character takes DMT, and enters a fractal land filled with puzzles and entities. The game developer is requesting people to voice ideas and potentially collaborate. I have no relation to the developer, I just found the idea really cool. Personally, I would like it better if the style was not 90's pixel art, but that's just me. Anyways, I wanted to share it here so perhaps the game would get more help in its development.

The commenters already yielded one really cool idea I think: "Not sure if this is in the game, but you should have a level they keep failing if they try it, kinda like if they do nothing they move past that level because it signifies letting go." I believe the game is supposed to consist of representing the DMT experience through the language of gameplay; using and subverting that language.

Beyond that, I wonder what you guys think. Do you like the concept? Would such a game be good? Does it over-conceptualize the DMT experience? Does it glamorize DMT, even if the game developer says they are wary of that?

P.S., per rule 2.3, I asked The Traveler for permission to post this 😊
