A Little Unsure, But Eager To Learn

Hi guys, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, whatever that means to you.

I was very recently introduced to the world of DMT, and psychedelics in general, having just recently started college, and am still very much finding my way, although I am lucky in that I have a good group of supportive, fellow psychonauts to explore with.

My first experience with DMT, while not a breakthrough, opened up a whole new world to me, and gave me insight into the nature of our universe I never would have found otherwise.
I fully intend to study mathematics (possibly applied to quantum mechanics), and in DMT I found the same kind of beautiful structures, patterns and internal consistency that makes mathematics so beautiful. Like math, the world of DMT is a fantastic architecture all by itself, but also seemingly infinitely applicable to the real and tangible world.

During my seven minute, light-speed trip I saw images and patterns I recognized from the works of Hofstadter, Mandelbrot, Euler, and Fermat. I could think in higher spacial dimensions and wrestle with questions I wouldn't even have been able to ask before those first puffs.

As beautiful as that world was, and as much as I want to go back, I have to admit, the legality of the substance has made me reticent. While I think it is absolutely deplorable and a crime against civil rights that my government (I'm from the US) has banned these substances, the penalty of being caught working with this stuff, or even importing MHRB makes me take a few steps back. I am new to this world, but it seems like the Federal Government has recently been cracking down on the sale, import and shipping of MHRB, so that also makes me nervous.
I'm led to understand that there is DMT and 5-MeO DMT in Phalaris grass, which is practically ubiquitous here in the states, and as far as I can tell, almost totally unregulated, so I am definitely interested in any quality Phalaris grass teks (techs?) that may be out there.

I am absolutely not a chemist. I am many things, math-geek, magician, fire-dancer (and eater, when I'm hungry :d ) actor, and general theatre/circus person, but I am eager to learn anything there is to learn.

Hey Nathanial.Dread, welcome! Dready fire spinner myself, actually :lol: Also in my first year of college.

Dmt sure is an interesting molecule. How ridiculous it is how it's considered a crime :x I think that though it is against the law, that you should do what your heart tells you.

You know already how amazing and beautiful it is. This is powerful stuff, I think you've come across it for a reason. Do you really want to let a law hold you back? As long as you're responsible and don't sell or do anything risky, you should be perfectly fine as far as the law goes. Just look at how many members are on this site :lol:

Sorry if I come across as trying to persuade you in your decision, it's totally up to you. But something tells me you want to continue your journies :d

BB: I absolutely, desperately want to continue. I barely scratched the surface, and know there is so much more there, but at the same time, I want to be smart about it.

There are things I want to do that I couldn't do, and people I love that would be very hurt if I got in trouble (and getting caught with a Schedule 1 substance is a LOT of trouble), and I think one of the lessons DMT tells us is about the beauty of life and creation, so potentially throwing that away in pursuit of the drug seems wrong.

I fully intend to keep pursuing it, I just want to find ways I can do it safely.
If it's more work, that is fine.
I feel almost like this drug should be the end result of work, not something you just buy at a store.
