A must read for Nursery Members

Migrated topic.
Wow great find man. I didn't get to read the whole thing but checked out the sections I was familiar with. Can't wait to get a chance to read the whole thing. Probably gonna read some before blast off tomorrow.

thankyou

Thank you Mr. Evans-Wentz, and all those who followed in his footsteps.

While the instructions in Tibetan Book of the Dead were read next to the newly deceased for several consectutive days to guide their consciousness to a higher level, the text is an equally powerful guide for the living. Perhaps especially so for Nexus members. It is a wonderful attitude to take though the ups and downs of one's day, and a simply awesome comtemplation "under the influence" that can yield rich rewards upon integration afterwards.

So far, it's been San Pedro for SWIM, but he can't wait to try his first aya-inspired journey for this reason.

thanks for the info. :D.... dint read it yet. but saved it and will read while working. thts how I read the posts in office. :p

well put,ive felt the power of the light, Ive experienced the beauty that brought me to tears, sometimes i wonder if it was all a dream, which makes me think maybe my life is a dream......
yet i still dream of that place i will visit again.

the original words were meant to be read to the body/spirit of the newly dead to guide it through the first few "days" of the experiences of death. But there's no reason they cannot be used as a guide for the living as well as the psychonauting. Should make a Grade A contemplation under the influence.

Bon voyage!

this is a wonderful guide JIM, thank you so much for this:d Appears to be very much like Timothy Leary's "The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead." It seems to be a great book from the outlines i skimmed, but haven't read it yet. Its still on my "to-read" list
