Not I but We
Guy
Hello All,
I am reading this book called A New Earth by Ekhart Tolle. He also has another wonderful book called the power of now.
I am curious to see how many people have heard of theses books, and perhaps some of you are reading, or have read them?
They discus the ego in great depth. How we are all (the human race as a whole) are so identified with our egos, and we let our ego run our lives. I haven't done large amounts of reading on Buddhist teachings, but friends of mine who have say that Tolle's books are very similar in nature but are very easy to read, unlike many Buddhist teachings which may be hard to read for someone who is just getting into this sort of thing.
Since I started reading the book I have bought many copies and have been handing them out to people who I feel would benefit from them. I know a good friend who fully attributes his ability to have a working relationship with his alcoholic mother to this book. It is definitely worth your time to check it out.
Namaste
