A friend of mine recently completed his first attempt at 69Rons D-Limonene Tek. He took pictures along the way to share. Instead of hijacking and cluttering the 46 page tek thread I made a new one.
69Ron did a great job explaining his tek because there were no issues along the way. My friend started with fresh cactus so
I'll start there
1) Got his cacti:
2) Just cored it and dehydrated it leaving the skin and spines: (150g. dried)
I did despine one of them and got bored so stoped, the picture just happens to be that one.
3) Through it in the blender and turned it into a flour.
4) Poured into food processor and added 37.5g Hydrated lime purchased at a Mexican Mart.
5) Turned on for about a minute to get it nice and finely powdered and mixed with the lime.
6) Poured into french press and added 450ml of water and mixed for about 5 minutes then let sit for about an hour.
7) Added D-Limonene and mixed for about 10 minutes and let sit for a few hours.
8 ) Put lid on French press and poured D-Limonene into jar (Next time will also pour through filter).
9) Added 25ml or so of vinegar to jar and shook the piss out of it throughout a couple hour period.
10) Poured into seperatory funnel and let settle for a few minutes then poured just the vinegar onto a small plate to through into the food dehydrator.
11) Did 3 vinegar pulls on used D-Limonene then made sure no vinegar was left in the D-Limonene and reused it to repeat 7 – 10 4 times.
12) After scraping all plates with the dried vinegar pulls was left with 2.097 of resin.
13) Put resin into 50ml. beaker and added 30 ml. of cold MEK to isolate the Mescaline from other alkaloids.
14) Crushed and stirred with a butter knife to get it all broken up.
15) Let decant in freezer for an hour then pulled dirty MEK with an eyedropper (saved dirty MEK to evap to recover other alks)
16) Did 3 washes then poured powder onto plate to dry under a fan and ended up with 858mg of waxy powder
All in all he said it went well and is finishing up a last hurrah pull he did on the material just to see if there is any love left. He only got a 0.05 yield from the material but the skin, spines and white flesh were included in that beginning weight.
