A question about Testing 2CI

Migrated topic.

So one knows this sort of talk is kind of frowned upon / discouraged here so first let me say one read about:

Discouraged Drug talk here, though that seems to be geared more towards the chat...

and the Policy regarding discussion of different drugs here .

This leads one believe this type of question should be ok but would like confirmation before one continues with their question.

Thanks,

The Dude

I guess it depends, I once tried a thread with 2c and it is very boarder line against attitude, because it is an RC.

IDK though maybe you can try asking one of the moderators around.

Ya one saw the thread / responses..

One was hoping a mod would see this and comment but maybe one will PM them and ask before they continue...

To clarify, the question is in regards to using an EZ test kit and its reactions

Erowid states here the reactions but one was just wondering if anyone has done this / if this is verifiable and if mandelin has any distinct reaction

Thanks,

The Dude

EDIT: Is there a list of moderators located anywhere? Perhaps a search under members with a tab for moderators?

I´m pretty sure that any thread considering the health and safety of a substance like 2CI would be allowed here.

Health and safety are given priority above all else here.

Well as it seems to be ok (if its not please feel free to let one know)...the question is stated a few posts up..

To clarify, the question is in regards to using an EZ test kit and its reactions

Erowid states here the reactions but one was just wondering if anyone has done this / if this is verifiable and if mandelin has any distinct reaction

As a friend wants to try it but one suggested to test it with their EZ test first to be more certain it is as labelled..

One also suggested to first dose real small (a few mgs) to test for allergic reactions / properly labelled etc etc ..

Thanks,

The Dude

This definitely falls within the Safety aspects and is a welcome question. Thank you for checking.

Why thank you, and one did indeed click (indications given are the same as those one posted from erowid, thanks for confirming)

..

So the material tested turned the colours indicated, however the reactions seemed to lack luster if you will.

The marquis turned green as indicated, but the whole drop of solution did not change only specs here and there
(though not much material was sacrificed .. one wouldnt even be able to guess how much was used)

Again, with the mecke, specs changed brown instantly but the whole solution didnt turn to brown .. again about the same amount was used..

The parts of solution that did not change remained the original colour.

These reagents are about 4-5 years old, always stored in the fridge, with the exception of the occasional festival.

Not sure if the testers are degrading (do they degrade with time?) or what...

Any thoughts to pass along.

Thanks,

The Dude

Yeah they do degrade with time, your best bet with 2cxs is to freeze them if you want to minimize potency loss...
