Rising Star
A warm greeting to all the members of this community :) I would like to introduce myself and if anyone has any questions they wish to ask me I would be more than happy to answer them. Above all I am here to make connections with other like minded individuals, and to learn from other's experience.

First of all, I found my way here through a long term facination with psychedelic compounds and their delicate interactions with the human mind and the science behind them. My other passion is chemistry and after reading both Pihkal and Tihkal, I learned about not only the scientific; but also the spiritual and religious significance behind ayahuasca and other entheogens in indiginous cultures. I am particularly interested in the many tryptamine analogs and I look forward to discussing them with the other individuals who share a passion for chemistry/ pharmacology on the Nexus.

I would like to say that the DMT Nexus is like no other forum I have encountered, and I admire the ethical values of respect, love and patience that members share. Outside of psychedia my other hobbys include tropical fish keeping, I have a respect for life and I feel privileiged to be able to care for it, I also have a peyote (legal where I live in the UK) which I beleive is a beautiful plant and I love to see it flower! I want to become a member because I have spent hours trawling through other forums, which I do not feel the need to name, but I feel that none offer the sensible and relaxed enviroment for mature discussion which is available here.

I have not yet personally voyaged with DMT but I hope to receive support from the other members as I prepare to do so. I am experienced with psilocybin mushrooms and Peruvian Torch cactus and I take the realm of psychedelics very seriously, and I see DMT as the "holy grail" of psychedelic exploration. I have tasted many other substances, some giving euphoria, some giving rushes, but these feelings of bliss are only momentary and in the vastness of space and time they become meaningless. I feel only psychedelics give a meaningful experience, and have something to teach us about ourselves and the universe as well. Aldous Huxley described this as a temporary opening of the "reducing valve" which evolution has built into our brains. I believe these chemicals open up our senses and our minds to discover what we are capable of seeing all the time but is being subconsciencously being blocked out.

I would like to join the Nexus to be a part of this space, a part of your "suchness", a
network which exists between like minded travellers and I would be honoured to be made a member.

Stay in the nursery for a while, answer the threads here and pose new questions yourself, and soon enough you will be awarded a full membership. I hope you understand that we need to see a bit more of new members than just an introduction piece, it's only for maintaining the high quality in here you know! :)

I hope you will have a wonderful stay here,
Evening Glory
