Acacia Confusa Vs MHRB extraction Difference

Greetings Fellow Travelers, Swim Currently has Started Experimenting with other herbs, Im curious as to what is the Difference? Since they are both Bark can i extract it the same way?
Can i Use this Tek for Acacia Confusa? Are there any steps i need to add? This Tek was used for MHRB and it had Great results. again Thanks Ahead of time For all the Help :thumb_up:

Tek:


Swim did
50g Mimosa powdered bark
750ml H2O
Some vinegar ( until ph of 3-4 reached )
50g Lye
40g ice cream salt (i forgot the actual name)
about 75ml naphta (the numbers on my syringe disappeared)

Acid cook
First Swim took the 750ml water and added vinegar until Ph of 4 was reached, after that i placed on a pot brought to boil, added 50g powdered mimosa, let it simmer for 30 minutes.

Let chill for 15 minutes

Add 50g Lye
40g Ice cream salt
shake often to make sure everything dissolved

Add 75ml naphta
spinned/mixed solutions until no layers visible for one minute then let sit until layers separate, this was done about 10 times.

Next extracted naptha onto separate jar making sure so leave any freebase solution behind.

for Cleaning:
Swim took some water added a pinch of soda wash, then added about 30ml to naptha that was pulled, mixed until no layers visible, let sit for layers to separate. took out soda/h20 with pipette and repeated again 2 more time but just plain water. i did this fast i didn't let t sit for long as soon as they separated sucked out the water, let sit in freezer for 48hr, take solvent out (drain), Crystals will be on the glass dish or cup, Swim then lets it sit in the freezer upside down for 1 hour then take out to slow dry with a fan.
PS let me know if swim skipped any steps or did something wrong

Hey sickfredo, welcome to the nexus.

Your tek will work, but requires a some changes for it to work best.

Firstly, you should do 4 separate acid cooks on your bark, for an hour and a half each, as opposed to one cook for a half hour. You will get a lot more goodies this way. When each cook finishes, you should combine the soup in another pot and reduce down to about 1000mL total.

Also, you should definitely let your mixture cool down for more than 15 minutes before transferring to your extraction vessel and adding the lye. H2O + lye is an exothermic reaction, meaning it gives off heat. It would be very bad and dangerous if your extraction vessel got too hot and exploded everywhere. I would recommend waiting until the liquid is at room temperature before adding the lye.

I just finished my first acacia confusa extraction usin thick lights tek . It work soooo well.
As ^ said . Do atleast 4 separate cooks and then filter m combine and reduce . Although for only 50g I would reduce to like 500 ml . I used 200g ACRB and did 5 cooks on my shredded bark and then reduced to about 500 ml on accident but still turned out great. Got over 4g of mainly crystals . Most pure white with some peachy and a very tiny amount of waxy stud that mixed with some crystals that I let dry for a day on paper then with a razor I broke it up like you would to sniff somthing an turned to a powdery substance that blended with the crystals . I'm sure you've read this but do not do a STB on acacia . And thick lights tek is the way to go for ACRB hands down. I think one of the key parts to it is when pulling with naphtha to shake for a min let settle then shake then settle and do that for 8-10 time for each pull. I did 6 pulls hand te first 2 came out with over 3g . The last 3 had very little but still pulled another g out of em . And inthe first 2 pulls I use about 25-30% less naphtha to ensure it was super staurated and it came out looking like whole milk lol .

Oh and hot water baths the how time your doing pulls is also a huge part . Room temp naphtha just won't hold the amount of dmt that u want it to .

Anyway read thick lights tek if your gonna do anything with Acacia confusa . I spent weeks researching a via treks and seems like noone was getting good crystals from ACRB . Ad I think another key is using atleast 150-200g of shredded bark as the powder is hard to filter and can leave you with dirty naphtha.
Wen with the shredded I had to filter my final boil twice then let it sit in a jar overnight and when I looked there was a ton of sediment on the bottom so I carefully poured into another jar leaving it all behind which left me with as super clean soup .
