Accidently fully evapored my solvent

Hey Nexus, first of all i've been reading these forums as a guest for quite a few months now and finally decided to make become a member

I've read alot about extractions and i feel than i have aqquired enough knowledge to succeed with one.

I am currently in the middle of my very first extraction, following Noman's STB tek.

I've used 50g prepowdered bark, 800ml water, 75g lye. Got a nice black/darkred soup. i've done 3 pulls each with 40ml of naptha Is this too little naptha?

Anyways, my first pull(40ml), was a clear, not cloudy, but i decided to put it in the freezer overnight for freeze precip. Next morning very little dmt had stuck to the bottom of the jar, and the naptha was all cloudy at freeze temperature. I've read online that one could evap some of the naptha to make it easier to freeze precip, so i tried that with my jar, i put it in front of a fan for about 3 hours, and when i came back, this:

Beautiful white crystaline dots, now this wasnt exactly as intended, but i wonder if it aint fine to use ? Also what should i do now ? scrape it out and set it to dry in a coffee filter ?

I then tried to do the same with my second pull(also 40ml) be that just yielded this yellow sticky goo:

What should i do with it ?

Anyone have any idea of how i could improve my extractions ?

Is full evapored DMT impure even though it all white crystal ?

EDIT: The yellow goo seems to be crystalising up infront of the fan. Also both pulls smells extremely strong plastic like. The fan is blowing cold air at around 5 degress.

Looks like you did OK! Those crystals in the first pic look like pretty pure DMT. The yellow is also fine, just has some plant oils (safe to smoke, as long as solvent is completely evaped) in there.

Just let it dry out completely, you should be able to smell if there's solvent still.

Thanks for the fast reply, it has no smell of naphta anymore, just a nose-ripping strong plastic smell, very unique smell. It also melt between my fingers, is this good ?

evaporated is fine! plus if there were any trace alkaloids in there tht wouldn't precipitate out of the solvent you'lll have them in there too. with acacias, which often have other alkaloids, i never precipitate anymore unless i want pure dmt.

Was evaporating excess naptha from the 2nd pull of a 100g extraction when I discovered these little fellas growing at the bottom of the Pyrex measuring cup. They ended up weighing a little over 500 mg's. The naptha hadn't really evaporated much, but it was quite cold where it was stored. not quite sure how it happened. Needles to say I was quite surprised and happy upon discovering them

ooooooooh, pretty :shock: :want: :want: Very good job man :thumb_up: , Ol'clyde wishes he could evap his stuff to grow beautiful dmt like that, but the mass amount of nmt makes the whole thing look like ear wax in the end :|
