Thanks for the advice guys! An yeah I do intend on extracting my own spice. I like to save my moneys! I will get back to you on how my mate did it. I might/might not have given him good advice. I did say to him not to burn the spice, to hold it in for 10 seconds. One of these two things will happen:

1. I will get back to you with details.

2. I will be making a topic in the experience area .

Acolon, thanks for the heads up on what degraded spice should look like. Also, how high above do most people hold the lighter above the cone (note I am using a JET LIGHTER)? And for how long? The guy selling sead he THOUGHT he vaporized the spice. And I have read how it might look like the spice is gone and vaporized, but its really not. Any tips and insight on this matter?
