I guess, but your post was more of a general statement than an introduction.

The point of the into essay is so that we can get to know our new members better. It is also so we can weed out those that are more of a liability to our community than an asset.


Help us to not rush to judgement; tell us a bit more about yourself!!!

Shutter, welcome to the forums! You did indeed made a weird and short first post, and as internet communication has it, it can be easily misinterpreted. I do not think you meant bad in any way, but would you like to write us more re the the thing you posted?

I'm not taking credit for the "general statement" or what ever you wish to call it. it is fine with me

I find it also a rule of shared knowledge. Sharing knowledge is whats important in that anyone can and thats what I am here for to give back in return for some info i have grazed.
 
In response...no I am not pretending to be a gangster. I was making a sincere apology, which I will reiterate here. I genuinely didn't mean to cause offence, it's just your post had me a little confused and my response wasn't very mature or well thought-out (as you may gather).

Again...my apologies.
 
I see some of the more ''enlightened'' members are taking your intro as a can that lies on the street...yes you could've written a little bit more about yourself and what brought you here but you didn't...I think you started with the wrong foot,in their opinion...you wrote something short open to interpretation,maybe they want solid things about yourself...one thing's for sure your post is unique and in some way or another everyone can choose to understand whatever they want and I just want to WELCOME YOU to the Nexus because it seems that you didn't get a proper WELCOME and it's such a shame...

I've found this forum such an invaluable resource in my own research and personal journey; there are many wise heads here. But as with any relationship, I think you need to be prepared to give something of yourself before you can expect others to give of themselves. If you believe, as you say, that each of us is our own guide, I salute you. Myself, I am grateful for the guidance of those who have gone before me, and offer it so openly.

This is a place where knowledge and experiences are shared; and to participate, all that is required is that you too share.
