harmonic exhalations
My handle refers to the harmonics created when practicing breath meditation on the didgeridoo...a past time of mine which has helped to cultivate a presence and connection of mind, body, and spirit throughout the past couple of years since I began playing when I was 19 (Now 24). Yes, I can circular breathe--and believe it or not, I learned how to do so in a dream which I later lived out a few weeks after the fact... Along my journey I have found a few other practices to help me cultivate my spirit in such a way--trance dance, hand drumming, yoga, slacklining, rock climbing, dreaming, and swimming. It's been a wild ride as of late and I am continually going back to those practices which I have dropped off for one reason or another. Recently quit smoking the herb so I am trying to get back into dream work again...

My love for entheogens has instilled within me a love for life and new experiences of all kinds. I studied sociology in school at the University of Tampa and was exposed to many a cultures while I focused in on the sociology of religion. Since then I have spent time working on various organic farms, at a sweet outdoor science school for 6th graders, and on a statewide campaign to reduce energy usage. My next adventure finds me heading off to Hawaii to work at a therapeutic community focused on healing through organic farming, various mind-body practices, nutrition, and the regular talk/group therapy thang....I can not wait as I have heard it is a beautiful company from my friend who works there now and as I progress on my path many synchronistic events have led me to find others who have worked there. Just recently at a small music fest in Maine, called Heads in Harmony, I met a kid who participated in a wilderness therapy program which focused on breaking the kids down in an effort to build them into better people who said it was rather traumatic and reminded me to be nice to the kids. But at this company, a more feminine approach is taken, and the person as a whole unit is urged to create healthy lifestyle habits which can be brought back home.

I am so excited to get out there and start growing some awesome plants, hopefully start up an oyster mushroom grow-op as well for the farm, and all in all learn a lot and meet some cool people. I just recently had my shoulder rebuilt from 5 massive blow-outs over the past 2 years which has led me astray from my mind-body practices for a short while as I was very careful to slowly rehabilitate my repairs, but I feel like the warm air and fresh fruit will be all the healing energy I will need to get back into tip top shape. Also, I am in the process of joining a growing didge project online and will hopefully be setting up a spore community for that project on the big island once I get there. Can't wait to begin getting to know all of you, and hopefully meet some of you soon! Ciao, aloha, peas!
