Ammonia for basify ?

Hi, i was thinking, it's possible to use ammonia solution to basify dmt in an extraction or a conversion to freebase ?

I wonder because ammonia evaporate completely, is right ? So to convert salt to freebase one don't havebto desl with trace of sodium carbonate or lime...

Yes you could, but if you’re not using an non polar fase to pick up the DMT and just evaporate after basing, you wil get ammonium salts aswel depending on the acid.
