Ammonia safe to mix with acetic acid in water?

I wonder if Ammonia is safe to mix with acetic acid? It forms Ammonium acetate, which decomposes at 114C(into what?).

Just wondering because I wanted to do a quick and dirty precipitation of caapi. It will be small amounts of vinegar and ammonia.

It decomposes into ammonia gas and acetic acid, that's all. Nothing to worry about.

When it decomposes, they then vaporize away as ammonia gas and acetic acid leaving nothing behind. Quite nice actually. That's one advantage to using them together.
