Hey fellow Nexians found this excerpt written by Dale Pendell while doing some random browsing not sure about the rest of that site http://earthrites.org/poetry_amrta.htm, but the article raises alot of interesting issues especially in light of the entheogenic communities current plight. For me personally the writing sums up alot of my feelings about my personal use of these substances although he occasionaly loses me in his religious scholarship. Hope everyone enjoys.

I think that this is because science lacks something..it doesnt have to..but..its the way it's presented...not everything is so rational..and i know how that sounds..this is hard to explain..

Spirituality is just a word..people use it becasue they find the need to relate to something deeper that they feel flows through everything around them..something so much more poetic than the descriptions science gives us..and that is the problem and the paradox.

i definitely agree
science isn't meant to debunk spirituality, it can't.
it can only provide evidence for repeatable events that can be observed by anyone and everyone.

spirituality is such a subjective experience, although it may be universally experienced
but it can't be elicited on cue, not everyone experiences it the same way.

so very hard to explain. I feel as if the author is really trying through poetry and science to forge and contextualize his path to God through entheogens. This resonates with me deeply.
