Hello twofourtwo,
Welcome to the Nexus. Thanks for that great Introduction Essay. Once again I find myself voting yes for promotion after only a single post.
I really appreciated your attitude. Absolutely nothing wrong with moving slowly, accruing slowly and waiting until you feel absolutely ready, until the call is clarion. DMT is one of the strongest, most immersive psychedelics available to humanity. Surely set and setting should be as perfect as you can make them.
There is an area where you can post extraction questions if they come up and if you have questions that need immediate answers, you can always try us in the chat.
I personally use a variation on Noman's and am used to getting yields in about the 1.5% range. Just keep up the good work, don't be afraid to add a bit more lye, mix the naphtha for a good long time and do four to five pulls.
I anticipated my first journey with a combination of excitement and anxiety. I had waited 23 years between first hearing about DMT (and knowing I wanted to try it) and have my first successful extraction. After I had some white crystals I stored them in my fridge for a week or two and looked at them several times a day.
I did not just jump into the deep. I started with a low dose and was amazed. Within a couple of weeks I was going much deeper and breaking through.
My intentions were to try to find some personal healing and answers in dealing with a midlife crisis that had reached a horrible tipping point (so I felt). I didn't recognize it at the time but I was having a sort of spiritual crisis. I was quite surprised that the breakthrough experience seemed to be the strongest argument against my 4 decades of atheism I had ever encountered - and many a man, book and drug had tried hard to convert me in the past.
So, I hope this answers your questions adequately.
I do hope you will actively participate here and again warmly welcome you to the Nexus.
