I was fortunate to encounter my first (and second) DMT experience this weekend. Though this is likely not case for the majority of first-time users, I had no profound desire to try DMT beforehand and absolutely no expectation to try the substance before about 10 minutes prior to my first experience. In addition, I admittedly had HIGHLY underestimated the power of the compound before my first experience. The only research I had done was essentially to ensure to myself that it wasn't going to be physically harmful, and besides a few questions to my friends about the actual experience (which they of course could not adequately put into words) I was completely in the dark of what was about to happen.
That first paragraph probably makes me seem like a foolish and naive first-time user of DMT, and perhaps I was. However, the setting I was in, (three of my best friends on this planet + great music + a dark room), the fact my friend extracted the substance himself and, possibly most importantly, the fact that I carried no anxiety or apprehension heading into my first hit made for an absolutely unbelievable and indescribable experience.
That said, I will try and recount such an experience in the 'first steps in hyperspace' section of this forum. I'll probably have a LOT to say. I hope you'll join me in learning about what is certainly the most unique and ineffable twenty minutes of my life.
Glad to be here.
