Hello! <3 I've been registered for the forums at bluelight.ru for awhile, and generally hang out in their "psychedelic drugs" subforum, because that's what I'm into, and because I dig the wonderful and loving culture that seems to grow around psychedelic users.

I'm currently in the middle of my third MHRB extraction, and rather exhausted having spent the entire night grinding root bark to dust and sitting hunched over corrosive and smelly chemicals in my cramped and poorly ventilated little bathroom, forced to perform the extraction as an entirely clandestine operation because of the disapproval of those who live with me ( :/ ), but fueled by a deep passion for the spirit molecule that blossomed quickly after my first extraction.

Among other psychoactive molecules that play a role in my life, LSD and cannabinoids rank highly. =) To me, these chemicals are simply one of many ways to tap further into the infinite potential of the human experience. To wring the gift of life of all the joy, wonder, awe, and excitement that it offers - in the case of psychoactive chemicals, either through their long-term teachings or the experience they directly induce.

Let's see... what else can I mention? Music! Smoked DMT flashes are a bit short to involve music, but for longer psychedelic journeys (this includes those induced by quality sativas), great music is absolutely a must in my book, whether it's the Grateful Dead or some high-BPM darkpsy. I've had some of the most blissful and powerful moments of my life with headphones on my ears and acid in my veins. On that topic, here's a fun little interview of Raja Ram (one of the two trippers behind Shpongle).

Anyhow, I'd been doing A/B extractions on my root bark, and decided to try a STB - googling for information, the Nexus would often be a top result. I did a little lurking and decided that it was a community I'd like to be a part of, and here I am now. =)

Peace!

Hi hon. Hurrah! Nice to meet ya. Raja Ram is a honey and such a beautiful musician. I am sooooo grateful he exists.

I love combining music with hallucinogens too. Have often had full body/mind explosive epiphanous bliss orgasms dancing or listening to music while on acid, mushrooms or pot. DMT seems to work differently for me though. I cross right over to another world and hear only what is in that world, not what is in the room where my body lies. I hear vivid music in the dmt world sometimes and it is kind of huge oceanic chords with a lot of different tones in them, really complex multi-rhythmic beats and a lot of different musical textures and colours and some sometimes a sort of dominant melody driven by what sounds like a kind of saucy wind instrument of some kind.

Nice to meet you too, Morphing. =)

I often hear quite vivid and strange music on psychedelics as well, which is often rather unlike music I choose to listen to, particularly on LSD. Recently had a brain-cello playing what sounded like a classically-influenced melody, and I really don't listen to classical music (I did play it on the piano when I was younger). I remember during my first acid trip telling my friend, "I can hear a symphony in my head!"

If it's not music, though, it's noise - one that frequently occurs is an oscillating drone, as if a parade of humming people passes by every so often. I don't get much of any of that on DMT, though.

When you speak of DMT experiences in your post, are you referring to smoked or oral?

Welcome to the Nexus bro, this truly is the place to be if you are interested in the Spirit molecule, right move on your behalf.

Welcome. I agree that music can be key to a good experience. Sometimes I bang my Djembe and listen or listen to some babatunde olatunji and other times Ill listen to jambands like phish or the dead. These types of music I listen to even while at work. But, sometimes I listen to some psytrance or other electronic music that I would NEVER listen to sober. Depends on the substance and my mood I guess but music is definitly key.

Ive found that smoked deemsters is the only thing I dont like music with. Its confusing enough. I listened to Phish's Big Black Furry Creature From Mars in November after a rather large toke and it was too much. Frightening actually. I look forward to reading your posts. enjoy

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Yeah, DMT flashes are just way too short to really start grooving. DMT comedowns, on the other hand, are great for music, especially with really high-energy stuff IMO.

P.S. - The less you try to make sense of it, the less confusing hyperspace is.
