I was thinking about combining your approach with Mr. Peabody's method as documented here - MicroChanga - Changa - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

Seems to have a lot of advantages - simple, clean, easily loaded, consistent, longer-term storage than freebase crystals and no need to obsess about getting crystal pulls vs. just using dissolved goo.
