Hi, looking to expand my library, would like to know which books are kind of must-have due to how authoritative they are, as well as which other ones are still nice to have.
Any suggestions welcome!
I'll start, arbitrarily putting some of them I already have, in these 3 categories.
Lean and mean:
PiHKAL: A Chemical Love Story
TIHKAL: The Continuation
The Shulgin Index, Volume 1: Psychedelic Phenethylamines and Related Compounds
Interesting reads, most of them are still nicely academical, some can stretch too much into other fields but there might be no better alternative:
Anadenanthera: Visionary Plant of Ancient South America
Black Drink: A Native American Tea
Cannabis Chemistry and Biology: Fundamentals
Enzyklopädie der psychoaktiven Pflanzen, Band 2: Neue Pflanzen, Pilze, Bakterien
Kava, the Pacific Elixir: The Definitive Guide to Its Ethnobotany, History, and Chemistry
Nice to have but not as academical as above or too mystical
African Psychoactive Plants: Journeys in Phytoalchemy
Pharmako/Poeia: Plant Powers, Poisons, and Herbcraft
