Thanks a lot.I have tried benzodiazepines, opioids, dissociative substances and other psychedelics, all have the capacity to help with the come up, personally I feel that harmalas provide the best possible solution for this. To me they are beneficial to the experience contrary to opioids and benzodiazepines which both make it more difficult to remember the experience and have some very serious addiction issues coming with them. Other than that psychedelics might help with the preflight anxiety because you’re already tripping.
Next to drugs as a solution it might be much more helpful to learn to how to let go and how to accept the anxiety and high heart rate. Most people benefit from a ritual and some enjoy meditation as a way to minimize the stress. Experience really helps too and in time you learn how to deal with it, it’s in a sense a skill that can be acquired.
Thank you very muchHarmalas, and Lemon Balm tea (3 to 4.5 grams of dried leaf made into a tea). That was my go to. Lemon Balm inhibits GABA Transaminase and raises GABA levels, which relieves the anxiety, come up intensity, and bodyload, at least for oral DMT, should do similarly for smoked/vaped DMT. Harmalas can contribute because they can allow you to smoke/vape the DMT at a gentler pace, what i like to do is pack a bowl of Changa, or take some Harmalas orally (but i also like to smoke Harmalas because i feel like smoked Harmalas potentiate the DMT more compared to oral Harmalas) and then i'll smoke on the DMT kinda like you would Cannabis pretty much, you just smoke/vape it at your own pace and work your way into it. Basically, if you take a few hits and allow the initial DMT come up intensity to rise and then stabilize, after that you can smoke/vape on the DMT and it's as smooth as a hot knife through butter. As long as you get that initial intensity wave out of the way, from then on it's smooth sailing, and also doesn't require you to smoke/vape as much DMT as you can within a minute or what not, it's a much gentler pace in comparison. Similarly, with oral DMT one can sip on the liquid DMT/DMT-containing plant tea for approx 10 minutes for a much smoother come up, you can add Lemon Balm tea to the mix for some extra smoothness if desired.
He it’s very hard to go through a serious bad experience, sadly these experiences tend to leave a scar that will take time to heal and get supple again. Having had my fair share of trauma inflicting trips I have come to the conclusion that the best way for me to get back to a more relaxed entry is to practice with lots of lower doses and really concentrate on confronting the feelings while still being relatively in control. Then at some point I felt I could get back to hyperspace to find one of biggest welcome parties I’ve ever had, a real joy .Thank you very much for your tips. I've tried meditating, and it helped me for a while, but after a bad experience—perhaps too deep—I was sure I was dying. I developed this panic during the come-up, and my heart rate became too hard to handle. Using harmala in low doses is the best way to go, in my experience. However, since it lasts longer, I've never tried a large dose to see entities. I will give Lemon Balm tea, opioids, or benzos a try, just to help me learn how to manage this terror. If it works, I'll keep trying to meditate. I guess the worst thing I could have done was stop taking DMT after the bad trip, and I think this is the reason I developed this irrational terror, which I didn't have before.
Best regards.
Good to hear this, as I’ve had a similar experience. I’m quite new to vaping DMT and I’m always a bit apprehensive when I take the first hit, but after that my heart doesn’t race anymore. I think my body sort of knows what’s coming and is more at ease with it.Harmalas, and Lemon Balm tea (3 to 4.5 grams of dried leaf made into a tea). That was my go to.
