I have now attempted to smoke pot twice since doing maybe 5-8 ayahuasca sessions. Each time was separated by a month or so. I had friends around smoking as well, so I know the pot was good (for them).
I have come to the conclusion that ayahuasca has destroyed my ability to enjoy marijuana. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
Basically, when I smoke it now, it kind of puts me in a half-way place between this world and the spirit world that I know from aya. It's difficult to appreciate either world, and I feel very scared. At the same time, it is very interesting, because I can decide to be "mostly" in one or the other dimension whenever I choose (though no visuals), and when I decide to come back to this one, I get a rush I can only imagine is similar to the rush you get from skydiving, as it feels like I just "landed" in my body from a skydive without a parachute. But overall the experience is displeasing enough that I will hopefully not be repeating it any time soon.
Have others had these effects also?
P.S. After my first ayahuasca trip, I remember telling my friends that "marijuana is worthless, completely worthless." Not sure if I said this just because I was comparing the two experiences, or if it was a message from mama aya that I should no longer smoke mj.
