Article on microdosing

Hey everyone.
I know there are several threads about microdosing psychedelics on the forum but I wanted to post this article
in a fresh one.

I've been on my way to try this for a ridiculously long time. It somehow just gets forgotten again and again. But I'm starting now.
Going to take a small dose of shrooms twice a week to start with.

So anyone here that has tried this out please respond to this thread and tell us how it went :)
Pros and cons anyone?

Fantastic! There is so much evidence to support it's benefit to short term memory you have to be crazy NOT to try it! I am going to be trying it out long-term at University and hopefuly with DMT/Harmalas for increasing my recall and ability to think creatively about new ideas.

I just finished a huge search about microdosing last week on shroomery.

I found the reports clearly indicated that dosing daily was detrimental to sleep but once every 2-4 days worked best. Although a lot of people reported feeling quite beat up and tired after a while, perhaps because of excess serotonin depletion which could be a reason to take 5htp alongside it.

Most reported increased clarity, positivity, social confidence and imagination at doses even as low as .05g but usual doses were between .1-.3 grams with threshold effects starting at .3-.5 and level one being .7

I have experimented with small doses of LSD; I are 1/4 of a blotter my last time. While the peak was still pretty trippy and a bit uncomfortable, as usual for me, I had a very creative and productive mania on the comedown. I am very interested in leadership and management philosophies, and I was able to come with up with unique and useful frameworks on what leadership is and how it has worked for me historically.

With smaller doses, there is a ton of potential for creative and useful thinking. However, this is a slippery slope for some psychedelics. I would never use DMT in this way, as while I can get similar creative bursts from it, I view it as much more sacred and intense than LSD. I view LSD almost as a pharmaceutical tool, particularly if I think about how it was originally used by psychiatrists to treat patients.

Microdosing could be very useful for those in younger, fast-paced, world-changing companies that thrive on creative thinking and open-mindedness (or any other position that requires these attributes).

I started with 0.12gr. of liberty caps. Didn't find any trippy effects but did feel more positive and accomplished more at the work I had been doing the last weeks. Felt more focused and energised.

Took 0.15gr. two days later and found the effects clearly. I've never liked low doses so I felt a bit uncomfortable. But I was also not feeling too good that day before eating the shrooms. Felt like shit. But 2 hours later I felt very good.

I took a break today but I'm going for 0.12 tomorrow and see how that goes.

I'm definitely feeling positive effects.
Shrooms have always been my friends :) VERY HONEST friends :p

I've microdosed a lot (like once every few days for a whole year), and honestly, I'm not entirely sure how much can be chalked up to the drug and how much is placebo.

Given the research that SSRIs may be active placebos, I think we're generally too eager to attribute subtle changes to our mood or behavior to drugs.

I dunno, I microdose pretty regularly and I don't think it's placebo at all. For me the effects when I dose are not at all subtle, it still feels very much like I'm on a drug. I usually dose between 10-15ug and I'd compare it to adderall in intensity but with a crisp psychedelic tinge and without the amphetamine mania.

I think if someone is taking microdoses more like nootropics, the effects could be attributed to placebo--but I do it for intense focus and productivity in much the same way that people use stimulants.

Tolerance could also play a role, as I'm sure that long periods of regular use at the same dosage will eventually cease to have any noticeable effects.
