Rising Star
greetings to all at the nexus,
Im an entheogenic voyager who has been a follower of the forum for quite a while, but now felt called to contribute. So I am hoping to be able to do that.
Ever since my first major entheogenic experience (happened to be shrooms + rue), my aesthetic compass was set on the direction of trying to draw what the visions I saw. I have always been an artist but my content until that point had been basically imitations of other artists, such as fantasy characters and creatures and such. But being immersed in the tryptamine realm and encountering the creatures I did during that experience, I was extremely compelled to direct my art to that. I almost did not have a choice, it became my living meditation, I felt like a conduit for the creative energy to come out.
That was years back, and every journey into the dimension has just propelled me further into the venture. I moved from shrooms to Ayahuasca as my primary entheogenic choice, but the dimension I was taken to was the same.
The culmination of my effort to draw the visions can be seen at my website http://www.visionarytemple.com. The works there represent my current level of skill in representing the inner realm....but its an ongoing journey.
As you might see in the art, my tryptamine visions are heavily dominated by feminine archetypes. On deeper experiences, I always encounter very feminine energy patterns, coalescing into humanoid figures with mischevious personalities. They show me aspects of nature, but usually is a manner which is very difficult to watch...harsh I suppose. So what I have tried to represent in my art are female forms embeded in the fractal forms of nature. I also wanted to capture the multiplicity of nature by flowing forms into each other. I had attempted to make the images digitally, but I could not capture the organic feel which accompanies the entheogenic experience using a purely digital medium. So I hand drew in order to properly capture that organic flowing feeling.
That's a summary of where Im at now. I am hoping to contribute and be a member of the visionary art and entheogenic community that is building up....which is why Im eager to contribute to the nexus forum.
Thanks for reading :)

Welcome and congratulation for your art work. There is *something* in it.
However I prefer the fractal part of your art rather than the feminine white silhouettes. I wonder how your art would look likes without the rather cartoon-style of that white shapes. I bet it would look very cool once printed on big black textile pieces.

Curiously your art immediatly made me think about Salvia rather than DMT.

My god those are beautiful...I just had a sort of unexpected breakthrough with spice and looking at those is VERY pleasing to the eyes in my glowing state!!

Also you seem to have captured my psilocybin CEV quite nicely!! Good job!

The most strangest thing happened when I saw your images. I was instantaneously 16 years old again, sat tripping off my head off on LSD, at my friends house! That was back in the late 80's and haven't done LSD for a loooong time!

One of the most difficult things to explain (for me anyway) were the melting of, and creation of colours when one closed his eyes. There was a sharp contrast between the colours with "something" in the patterns. I like the blackness in between the colour patterns and the symmetricity. Your images seem to have captured that quite well :)

Thank you all for your comments and complements :) They are much appreciated as I have just begun on this venture. Just getting down the imagery took so many years, but I feel like I have a good start. Your supportive comments give confidence.

Garulfo: I have a close freind who was also a little dubious on the female forms but really liked the background patterns. But I felt very compelled to draw the feminine forms...because I felt like "they" were pushing me to do so. Of course my attempt to draw them is (as you may know) a far lower-dimensional representation of what they are like in the state, and their cartoon like character I suppose is my way of trying to capture their mischevious quality. I drew a series of feminine forms and then felt like I should do a few male figures....and the "Brahmarishi" is a start on that.

Darkstate: I think I know what you mean. The patterns and colors in the entheogenic state seem more than just that, they are alive with a sort of meaning and intention imbeded in them....very magical!
Of course that aspect is too difficult to capture in art.
