Arundinacea- Yay or Nay?

Migrated topic.

There been a little of the Australian Phalaris arundinacea growing near SWIM house. I know there is a few different types of the Spice in question and SWIM wondering if there was a pretty good yellow extraction, would this be the desired type spice or something else. There seems to be a large amount of it. Any info would be so appreciated.

^^Um try to get crystal's out of the plant or oil that was extracted. Even if swiy get crystals one should try to varify what they are especially when working with species of less known compositions. SWIM personally doesn't know much about the composition of the plant you are talking about but you can't identify something by just calling it a yellow oil. Thats potentially dangerous. Some species of phalaris contain dangerous nerve toxins etc.

Thanks Burnt for your response. Sometimes it's hard to know the right path, but I am glad I asked rather than just travelled. I'll definately look into it.There are crystals, but SWIM can't be sure they are anything of Spice!

^^Well thats a good first sign. I would just check up anything you can find about this plant to make sure it has no known toxic compounds. SWIM has many ways to check purity of extracts but most people lack that kind of equipment. I can't really think of other ways to test except to use some chemical reagents that are specific for indole alkaloids but those are also hard to get.... Someone else here might know more about this specific plant as I do not, sorry can't be of more help.

I have ended up with the same yellow resin, and also red resinsfrom phalaris.. and I tired the yellow stuff once, and it KICKED MY ASS.. no nausea like yopo, so it was most likely 5meo and not bufo. It was like a sudden and violent ego death, and there were "popping noises" comming from my pineal erea like my third eye was being forced open. not to visual, although i dont think i would have payed attention to them anyway, I was too busy TRYING TO LIVE:d ..oh and this was arundinacea
