I've long been a fan of astrophotography. I don't practice it yet, but I do consume it quite a bit. There's a very active astrophotography community in Bulgaria and a few days ago one of its members shared a particularly appealing set of photos he took during the Perseids shower atop the Gredaro peak (height: 2605 m/8546 ft) in a mountain called Pirin. I thought some of you will enjoy these fascinating snapshots of nature in its full, glorious, untamed beauty. Seeing imagery like that reminds me of all the wonder around us, all the magic. On one hand it makes me feel utterly insignificant on the incalculable scale of it all. On the other, though, it also makes me feel I'm at the center of all that is important - the focus point of the incessant consciousness flux ebbing and flowing through all dimensions, matter and time. And it's a hauntingly beautiful position to be in. Enjoy.
