Hey all,
I have a kg of shredded caapi along with a kg of chacruna leaves and I'm planning on brewing my first batch of aya. I'm planning on brewing up the caapi and leaves separately. If I understand the reading correctly, I should probably brew a decent sized batch, I was thinking 500g of each and then storing in the fridge/freezer for drinking. I understand the staged brewing process and the 12 hour commitment needed to brew the caapi. I want to be sure I understand the dosing better though.
Most information I've reviewed says to start with just the caapi and to start at 25g, ramping up over time until you find your sweet spot. I'm not sure what the sweet spot should be for just caapi, should I be expecting a full experience from just the caapi? Should I be adding the chacruna leaves into these beginning experiences?
I would love to get some advice from your experience in this area to make sure I'm doing this right. Any reading you can point me to as well would be great.
Thanks,
