Rising Star
Greetings, family.
I'm a middle-aged artist/musician, and have revered psychedelics since my first LSD experience at the age of thirteen.
Eight years ago - after living in New York City my entire adult life - I dropped way out to the remote hills of northern California, where I live off-the-grid with three dogs and four cats. I have HIV and Hepatitis C from long-past IV drug use, and I grow a Prop 215 compliant medical ganja garden each year. Ganja not only makes my meds tolerable - I believe it is holistically healing. In addition, I find the act of growing this plant to be spiritually rewarding.
Two years ago I tried DMT for the first time. It was intriguing, so much different from LSD. I experimented a few times, experiencing mind-blowing breakthroughs, then became too busy and distracted with other things for the next year and a half.
Recently I observed my friend's successful extraction from MHRB, which he learned here. Having access again, I have gone deeper into DMT this past month, as well as reading as much as I could find.
A curious thing happened. My DMT experiences led me to finally begin studying fractals, which led to a renewed interest in quantum physics, nature of consciousness, etc. All of this stimulation allowed me to transcend a creative block I've been in for a year or more. I began making pictures again, incorporating fractals and imagery from my recent DMT journeys.
Realizing this was the perfect time to take LSD, two weeks ago I pulled out some very old (from summer 2005) white on white blotter and some equally old liquid. Anticipating a reduction in potency due to its age, I took a rather large dose - five of the WoW and three drops of the liquid. Not only was it still active, it was still kick-ass. The trip was a smashing success - an epic emotional/spiritual re-set. Since that night I have been busy repairing some strained relationships in my life (my ex and my brother).
I didn't mean for this intro to be so long. Basically I'm here because DMT is an enigma to me - I still don't know what to make of it. As far as psychedelics in the big picture, I am certain we need to integrate them into our culture (Rick Doblin has good ideas on this point) for a thorough cleaning and subsequent maintenance
