being drawn towards trying DMT

Hi, I am on a self discovery journey, a spiritual path and I am being drawn to trying DMT, I have done mushrooms and LSD about 30 years ago but have since matured, married, children etc, I have found myself on this journey, I do not want to try ayahuasca as I do not want to be under the influence for hours, I like the idea of it being a short experience with DMT, my husband is at the same stage as me, should we try it together for the first time? or at a guided session?

A trusted guide is never a bad idea. You'll be stepping into some wild waters.

While the medicines are the same, to a degree on the molecular level, with harmalas being included in ayahuasca, the ROA (route of administration), in this case vaping DMT vs orally ingesting it (absorption happens in the lungs in the first, and in the gut un the second), provides very different types of experiences.

While vaped can be very therapeutic, its notorious for leaving one grasping for straws as how concretize their experience once they are back. This is another time when an experienced guide can come in handy.

Hope this helps some. If it stirs further questions, ask away.

One love,
Vm

Welcome Trasijocha!

I'm excited for you and your husbands calling to dmt. If I had the opportunity to use a guided journey the first time I would have. Unfortunately, it is not an option for some folks.

Freebase dmt is a bit fleeting but can be drawn out with adding harmalas by making changa. I personally enjoy the fast come up and the duration of the trip being over fairly quick. I'm always surprised how much longer changa lasts, it throws me off like is this ever going to end or oops I really did it to myself this time with how strong the effects are.

Hello and welcome! What an exciting phase of one's life to be at. As experienced trippers "in a past life", you'll likely find plenty of useful information within the forum here to help you along should it turn out that you decide to make your own way into the space for whatever reason. Given that there are two of you, this does give the option of one being there for the other, taking turns. Push comes to shove, the Nexus is here for those post-hyperspace moments too.

That being said, it would be great to have a sassion with an experienced facilitator. Back in the 90's most of us just made it up as we went along, eh?
