best plants and teks for 5MEODMT?

SO Swim has heard virola being a good plant for 5meodmt extraction... any others? also which teks work best for extracting which plants one this one?

SWIM failed trying to extract something from virola bark with a classic A/B.

From what I hear, most commerically available virola bark is good for nothing. Literally all you get more often than not is a few lumps of wood devoid of alkaloids.

Try Virola resin instead.

Yes, it's the resin, NOT the bark, that contains the alkaloids. When you buy the bark, it almost always has the resin removed from it so it’s worthless. The natives remove the resin and sell the bark for other pusposes. So don’t bother buying the bark unless you know the resin wasn’t removed from it. SWIM has NEVER extracted more than 1 dose of 5-MeO-DMT from massive amounts of bark. In most cases nothing is extracted.

Virola theiodoea resin contains mostly 5-MeO-DMT and is what you want. You don’t want Virola calophylla resin because that contains mostly DMT (quite a lot actually).

Chaliponga also contains a lot of 5-MeO-DMT usually, but it contains about 2 times as much DMT. However, if used sublingually, 5-MeO-DMT is many times stronger than DMT so you’ll just get a 5-MeO-DMT trip from it.

Someone told me that 5-meo isn't soluble in naphta. Wouldn't it then be easy to separate the 5meo from the DMT?

I don't know. There's little information on it. It would be nice to see some SWIMs here look into it further.

SWIM tried extracting from virola peruvianas and was unsuccessful. used A/B approach but may have made base too high and degraded the compound.

A friends experience with Phalaris sp. suggests that 5meo is perfectly soluble in naphtha and unharmed by very high ph.

^^Good to know. It could be that virola peruvianas root bark is devoid of significant amounts of 5meodmt then.
