SWIM had a bad experience with DMT for the first time. They were hell nervous and were alone (They could hear their heart beat in their chest). SWIN layered their pipe (short metal pipe with wooden bowl) with aluminium foil then 2/3 of a point (1 and 1/6 of a hit) of DMT then aluminium foil on top. When they smoked it in, it seemed to have vaporised properly but they weren't too sure. A lot of white "smoke" was inhaled then exhaled. They tried to keep in for as long as possible but the "smoke" burnt their lungs. Also has SWIM exhaled they almost fainted as they were very tired. (Standing up nearly made them faint several times that day) The onset of the horrible trip seemed intense because of the near faint. "Scary" electronic music started playing as SWIM was trying to calm down, and the nasty taste in their mouth made the experience worse. SWIM saw a couple of blurry 3D visuals closed eye, and a 2D light pattern surrounded the walls of their room (The light was on). Then they felt completely normal (Except the shock of what just happened).
SWIM wants to try DMT again and get the strongest effect. They are going to try it with their partner (who is also a first timer). SWIM feels more comfortable with their partner and is bound to feel less nervous.
Factors in choosing the best method of taking DMT:
SWIM takes an SSRI antidepressant regularly;
doesn't can't obtain a strong MAOI (SWIM knows MAOI's shouldn't be mixed with SSRI's);
feels the taste of the DMT can cause a bad trip;
can't take large amounts of hot "smoke" in without feeling -replaced- bad;
SWIM has come up with a list of options on how to take the DMT next time:
1. SWIM uses a bong with ice-cold water and layers the bottom of the cone with weed then DMT on top of that. (Lighting the DMT carefully so it doesn't burn);
2. SWIM does option 1 but also stops taking their antidepressant for a week first;
3. SWIM mixes the DMT with citric acid (using an indicator to check for neutral pH level) then administers it rectally;
4. I read your opinions then tell SWIM what the better options are.
Please tell me if you like one of my options the best or if you have an even better idea so that I can get back to SWIM.
