Best Way to Clean or Re-Crystalise without a Freezer?

My freezer is rubbish - It's only a small compartment in a fridge - Last night I turned it up full, put a bottle of water in the freezer next to the NP jars and by morning a 1/3 of the water still hadn't frozen.
So after doing Noman's tek - I will have to evaporate to get the spice.

What's the best way to clean it or re crystalize without a freezer?

I have ammonia but have heard lots of people lose the spice that way - and I don't have a lot of spice to show for my efforts.

out of curiousity, can you take a picture of your end product?

eitherway, gather all your product and weight it
say you have 5 grams product: using 30-40mL of NP / gram product:
-pour about 200mL of fresh NP into a stainless steel bowl with your product
-use a hot water bath - no ignition source! - to bring the NP to boiling point
-as it's heating, stir in the product at the bottom very well
-you'll see a bunch of stuff that won't dissolve no matter how hard you work
-pour off the solvent, leaving the insoluble behind
-evaporate the solvent and repeat if necessary
