Hey there,
Recently, I was able to step into the world of spice thanks to good friend of mine
I'd heard about it for years, (the first time back when reading through Shulgin's books), and had a keen interest, but due to its intense nature, I decided to start off slowly.
My own recreational use has seen many things, and I've learned a tremendous amount of knowledge over the years, but I still stayed away from psychedelics. The potential for terrible things to happen was too great for me. My opinion on the matter stayed this way for many years.
Flash forward to about 3 years. I started to get a little more interested in the more tippy substances out there, and decided go for some LSD.
The result was magical. I couldn't believe what I'd been missing all this time. The colors, the thoughts, the feelings, etc. And so I started to dabble a bit more. Several months apart, but I'd say it became a somewhat regular thing...
Flash forward again to about a month or two ago. Some one I know mentions DMT. So I started looking around. Reading experiences. Came across here. Didn't register. Just lurked. And lurked more. My interest became piqued, and I decided to try it with my friend.
The experience. I find self wanting to call it magical, but it wasn't. Magic implies something that isn't inherently real. What I experienced? Was in fact, very very real. These before couldn't even hold a candle to this. So intense, so incredible, so bright. VIBRANT.
And yet, just like LSD, I had no desire to just jump right back into that. I needed time to reflect. I spent the next several hours attempting to make sense of it all. Part of me knew I never was going to be as to, but the rest of me knew I should reflect on what I'd experienced.
And that's when I decided to join here. I'm so happy to be here, and have learned so much already. I know have confidence in my extraction attempt in the next couple of days when before I didn't. The knowledge so many have given me I hope to put to good use soon enough!
Thank you all, and I appreciate everything the community stands for.
