Break on Through

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
Scene:

2:00 A.M. CST
Louisiana
SWIM is sitting in his car.

At first, nothing. A profound sense of dissappointment.
Exhale.
The world SWIM knows slowly becomes overrun with bright, vibrant colors some of which SWIM is convinced don't exist.
Hyperspace.
A tunnel that isn't a tunnel. A feeling like swimming through waves of information and energy.
Dark. A single point of light that grows at an ever increasing rate until SWIM is surrounded by it.
As the multitude of vibrant lights exits his field of vision, SWIM is surprised to find that he can see behind himself.
-Lapse in memory-
SWIM is talking calmly to a man made entirely of fire.
-Lapse-
SWIM is back in the real world staring at a toy dinosaur that sits on his dashboard.
When he is able, he takes a sip of soda and finds that it tastes differntly to him. Unnatural in a way. He then downs a gallon of water.
SWIM's friends ask him what the trip was like and he simply shakes his head.
His friends exchange knowing smiles.
"He hit hyperspace."

Notes:

1. SWIM can't remember any audio from his first experience.

2. While this summary may appear short, please take into account that this is a recollection of an event that happened over a year ago.

3. The "man made of fire" image is a recurring motiff in SWIM's expeditions.

Sounds like a nice experience, but let me get this straight...

...you did this in your car?

Granted, I do not know your situation or specifics beyond what you provided, but this seems like a fairly reckless way to explore the molecule. All it takes is one police officer to see there's a person in the car and come over to find out if you need "assistance" (after all, it's pretty late to just be sitting in a parked car)....then what?

Glad you didn't have any run-ins and seemed to have had an enlightening experience, but I would suggest you find another location to access hyperspace. Just some thoughts.

I laughed wholeheartedly just now. I forgot to mention that the car was parked in a private garage at SWIM's residence and was mainly used simply because it had seats.
