Building confidence and plundging deeper, deeper...

Eternity

Rising Star
Hello again everyone,

I would like to begin by thanking everyone who helped troubleshoot my friend's first experience. He told me that now he has switched his smoking method from the Hookah and constructed "The Machine", which performs much more admirably for him! The following is a copy of a letter he sent me describing his recent experiences:

"

Last night I decided to try out "The Machine" that I had recently built after having a mild first experience. I have since been familiarizing myself with the vaporizing technique and smoking in general, and had 3 experiences in the space of 3 hours today. The following is a report on my latest experience.

Setting

I had woken up with my girlfriend in my apartment and decided to see how far I could go comfortably into the psychedelic experience. We began by going about what seems to have become something of a ritual for me. We cleaned my apartment thoroughly, ate well, and began setting the atmosphere. I began by lighting a few candles and some incense, letting the smell fill the room. I started some ambient music, and began relaxing. Relaxation for me consists of deep breathing and meditation for 10 minutes prior to administration of the DMT.

The Experience

When the music stopped I took the machine into my hand and instructed my sitter to hold up a candle steadily in front of me since to my dismay my lighter stopped functioning. Now, I have only been taking in 1 hit at a time from the machine since building it, because I find the effects to be very strange and distracting thereafter. I figure I will get accustomed to the feeling first, and then work my way up to 2 hits. Keep in mind that I do not have a micro gram scale to measure my doses, and there is an unknown amount of melted spice in my machine.

After holding in the smoke for 10 seconds, I began feeling a shift in my awareness. By the time I exhaled at 20 seconds, the room started to change. First everything began turning green and waving, and then I felt the room start fading and being replaced by a black imprint with red, orange, and yellow points of color. The sensation I had at this point was one of floating, and that the air around me had a thickness to it of some sort, much like a liquid. This is when I closed my eyes and laid back.

At first I saw strange colors and shapes, grids and what appeared to be kaleidoscopic effects. Soon after, I felt like I was traveling somewhere. I saw strange things swinging around, and a dim image of some strange dark place. I began hearing my breathing as if it where very distant, and it had an echoing quality to it that intrigued me. I should also mention that I also began to hear strange echoes at this point as well. I cannot possibly describe the things I saw from this point on, but I remember it being very beautiful. My sitter later told me that throughout the entire experience I was smiling and shaking periodically. At one point however, I seemed confused, and then began smiling again. This seems to coincide with a vision of some sort of strange centipede that swam into my view which scared me a bit, but I quickly reminded myself that I am here as an objective observer, and I was immediately fascinated by it. I also believe I saw some sort of beings. I attempted to communicate with them (my sitter says I looked like I was talking but making no sound) but they would not reply and seemed oblivious to my attempts.

I opened my eyes at one point and looked at my strange room. I had the feeling of several hands holding me down and putting something into my left nipple and chest, which was a very strange feeling. I closed my eyes and began to consciously focus and do deep breathing to see if I can control what I am seeing, or at least focus on the details more. This had no effect.

I came down after 7 minutes, as usual. I was blown away by what I had seen yet could not describe. As soon as I develop more courage and self control, I would love to try a second hit from the pipe. However, I have trouble being distracted by what I'm seeing and feeling before I get that second hit in.
