Rising Star
There has been a plethora of fictional stories over the years of people burying bodies or ashes in with a plant (usually weed) which, when consumed, allowed the spirit of the dead person to appear as a ghost to the smoker. Trite idea which has been done to death (if you pardon the pun).
However, consider all we know about the magic of harmalas and DMT... and then imagine if someone was buried with "the vine of the dead". Knowing that the person's remains had fueled the very plant that was then to be consumed would be... okay, somewhat creepy- but also kind of special?
Imagine if the early users of caapi knew this, and practiced this in secret to hold onto the memories of their ancestors?
Of course, I'm just rambling on. However if there ever was a plant that held some probability of connecting the spirit world to the physical one, it would have to be something psychoactive!
