Caapi's influence in changa

Migrated topic.
hi there nexians!

my best friend was very happy this last days!
he finally got 2 caapis (black and yellow), and by co-incidence he found a way to get some freebase at his favorite festival, and he was like "yeeeeee, finaly i can make my own changa, now i have everything i need"

but first he decided (yesterday) to experiment the quality of the spice since he didnt created it himself..

he did put some brasilian tucanaca caapi leaves in the bong, spice in the middle, and some mint in the top.

and he had a whole new level of experience! he was really used to the presence of some single type of archetipe, allways being a very pleasant, teaching and lovely (in spice experiences without caapi), and that time what happened is that hes whole notion of himself and the space around him disapeared in a red orange geometric universe, that started to comunicate with him trough its shapeshifting, bringing LOTS of arquetipal energies together, galactic mayans morphed to geometric elves that morphed to some wicked laughing faeries, then egiptian padrons and energies started to apear, then celtic energies, and a lot more that he even couldnt integrate or recognize... the presence of the snake was allways very strong also..

and he felt that they played around with him and laughed from him and joked around, it was almost overwelming!
and for the first time he felt a litle insecure during the experience, and all he could think was "respect man, respect"..

and after the peak when he came back, he really felt the earth roaring, every plant and tree and animal started to make its own noise very very loud, and the energie of the whole place invaded him in such a strong way that it was almost so much overwhelming as the breaktrough itself..

he thinks that the caapi and the very strong energie of the place influenced the experience that way.
maybe he did put to much caapi?
what do youz think?

Caapi leaves contain, generously estimating, 1% active alkaloids. Let’s say you put a big heap of leaf in your bong, maybe 75mg. That amount of leaf contains at most 0.75mg of alkaloids – probably not enough to have any significant effects.

And if we use more realistic numbers - 0.25% active alkaloids in 50mg of leaf - the amount of alkaloids in your bong would be 0.125mg (125 micrograms).

Most changa is made with enhanced caapi leaf, which might contain 10X or more alkaloids than plain leaf.

^that is not exactly true..harmalas are something like 100% more effective when smoked, and 20% more then taken sublingual as opposed to oral..Dennis Mckenna concluded that smoking caapi leaf should have significant effects becasue of the activity of smoked harmalas..and that something like 1mg could produce noticable effects.

I tested this and smoked a bowl of leaf thinking it was BS..it definatily was not..even from one large inhalation there is definate effects. I still prefer oral but inhaled harmalas are for sure active at very tiny doses. I have smoked a bowl of rue and it was too much at one point and even made me sick.

Also..I was under the impression that leaves contain MORE alkaloids than the vine..so if you ae really getting vine that is like 2% than there should be that much in the leaves. The leaves contain largely harmine though and not so much THH or harmaline from what I read.

well, i was mostly meaning in an energetic level, the spirit of the plant.
my friend didnt saw any difrence in lenght or intensity, just the energy of the experience itself was changed..
and the serpent like energy and visuals, he allways associated it to the caapi, due to its previous ayahuasca experiences..

some changas have a very litle percentage of salvia for example, really not enough to make any distinc effect, but by adding the spirit of the plant to the changa, the quality of the experience is difrent.. (as i see it)

so, reformulating my question: was the caapi that made the experience so earth like and joking, instead of the peacefull cosmic experience my friend allways had with just spice alone? or can that experience happen again independently of the presence of the caapi?
