Cacti

Migrated topic.

TexasTrichocereus

Rising Star
Any fellow cacti lovers here?
I started out growing just trichocereus many years ago but the past few years I’ve been expanding to all species of them.

I started out years ago growing some ornamental cacti. Then 5 years ago I caught the bug and I've been pretty obsessed with Trichocereus cacti since then.

Cacti are wonderful plants to grow. So easy and so rewarding.

I had a very bad headache from a Pachanoi. In addition hardly optically changed perception and only medium-light psychedelic.

I started with a few Peruvianus, Terscheckii and Bridgesii about 5 years ago and of course got obsessive about it. They took over the back room then I had to move them outside and overwinter them in a greenhouse tent with a heater. I'm now putting up a larger greenhouse. Mescaline's not addictive but cactus propagation sure is. :)

Growing them is definitely an obsession. Hardy enough time to keep up with them all. Seedlings are constantly needing attention. Right now there’s about 700 needing new spacious homes. Hopefully my brother in law will be coming soon with a dump trailer full of fill dirt and expanded shale for raised beds.

I’ve gotten a headache a couple of times. It was more of a light is hurting my eyes so I better go lay down, close them, and take it all in. Has not happened in many many years though.

Wolfnippletip have you tried terscheckii? I have several but won’t cut until I get seed unless they happen to snap during a hurricane. Regardless they are many years away from maturity.

I did try Terscheckii Tea and it was very stimmy. It had me pacing the floor for hours. I will probably never do it again, but if I did I would be very careful of the dosage. It seemed to have a moderate amount of mescaline in it but I'm not sure what else it has that makes it so speedy (Hordenine, Trichocereine?).

I've only had headaches when I ingested PC.
I know several others who haven't had it from PC.
I wonder if my neurochemistry is different due to my high functioning autism...?

I havent had headaches from cactus, but I have experienced stomach problems and muscle tension. Another factor to consider is that if someone else grew the cutting then it may have been treated with pesticides.

FLEXUS cactus can be very visual and deeply psychedelic but you have to start with high quality cuttings and you also have to prep the cuttings in a way that captures most of the mescaline.

I am guilty of collecting cacti as well. One cactus leads to another and before you know it...

Very nice collection!!!
I need to post some pictures on here once I figure it out.

Gave some cacti more spacious homes today. Hoping to be caught up on upotting seedlings in a few weeks.

I've got a slowly growing collection too, mostly trics at this point but I've got some variation.

I need to update my cacti tribe post it's been a while.

Hey Texastricho, welcome! I love my cacti, too, even though the climate where I live is less ideal than it is where you live.

I also had headaches the last two times I took (a large amount of) Cuzco. And I grew those from tiny seedlings, so definitely no pesticides involved.

Still worth it :D

Next week I’ll post some pictures and have more time...hopefully

I saw you ate some cuzco, I have several different ones but have not tried them yet. I’m thinking my next cacti meal will be a no name bridgesii that was the most bitter I’ve tasted. But I do have a ton(literally) of very old PC. I’ve had good luck with pc tea and crystal extract from old fat cuts. Might mix a little bridge and PC

Hope it went well!
I plan on camping out this weekend at the beach. The wife really wants to gig a flounder in the bay. I might eat a tiny piece, just to tingle the taste buds

Thanks guys. It was good. 10 inches bridgesii at 2am. Medium strength trip. Not too much nausea or body issues. Felt great. Still feel great.

I hope you do it this weekend Texas. Its good for you. 😁
