Cannabis tinctures yay

So, I get a really anxious when I smoke Cannabis sometimes. I figured it might have to do with the speed that it comes on (too much thc too fast...I guess I could get weaker bud too.)

To slow down the experience I decided to try a sublingual tincture.

I got 6 grams of trainwreck X sour diesel, ground in all up and ddecarb'd it in the oven at 200F for 25 mins and than put it in a mason jar with 2 ounces of 151 and shook it up a whole bunch. I let this sit over night and than put the mason jar in a double boiler setup on the stove. I used a candy thermometer to measure the heat of the solution and got it to 160 and let the ethanol evaporate for 20mins. I strained the bud out and was left with an ounce of Cannabis tincture. 30 drops (I think that's about 1 ML) should have about a .2 of bud in it.

I can just put a few drops under my tongue and feel it in a few minutes or put the drops in a drink and feel it like an hour later (a little different than your normal edible)


I really enjoy Cannabis again because I can control my ingestion a little better than I could by smoking. Yay tinctures!

Let us know how the tincture works for you and if it helps lessen any of the anxiety. You might also want to try more Indica dominant or pure Indica strains as they usually have less anxiety for most people than the Sativa dominant strains you are referring to - Sour D is 70-80% Sativa dominant and Trainwreck is usually a 90-100% Sativa. You might also see if you can get some high CBD strains to see if that also helps. I've never tried it myself but many people swear that ingesting some black pepper or extracting piperine from the black pepper and ingesting some before smoking to see if this eliminated or greatly reduces the anxiety from the Sativa strains. You can also probably buy extracted piperine online if you want, perfectly legal, or look around this website or others for a quick and simple piperine extraction. If you can make cannabis tincture you should be able to extract piperine from ground black pepper. One word of advice - cannabis ofter attempt to show us the things we should focus our attention on so that we can address them and hopefully fix them. Try to ask yourself why you are feeling the anxiety and what is its source. That might be the message. Good luck and let us know what works and what does not.

The tincture works well. Sublingual doses are kind of hit or miss because it kinda hard how to tell how many "drops" hit the bottom of your mouth by feel a lone lol. Taking it orally works kind of like an edible but hits faster and doesn't last as long because there's really nothing to digest like when using brownies or something with butter.

I'm gonna try a full eye dropper full (30 droos or so) after a solid meal soon versus trying it on an empty stomach. I've heard food helps bioavailability.
