*ps:i would say good job but god job is good anyway 😉

Just one note - Bottle 2 can be HDPE as it does not melt with the lye/water mix, PET bottles on the other hand tend to buckle when mixing lye and water (believe me I have tried and had to spend an hour cleaning up nasty lye solution off my kitchen floor) but HDPE is fine.

hmm. i have not had one rupture. this is actually the first time ive used plastic as i am a hardline propper tool for the application guy. but the first time i did this i used the hdpe bottle and it felt as tho it softened. i ran to the sink and ran cool water over it(should have been doing that anyway)

i know this is off topic but i just got a 2.4g yield on my first pull of 100g from a ascension botanicals. wtf is that!?!

Any issue with the hose barb being effected by solvents?
Either way I guess it's easy enough to determine ahead of time.

This is great by the way. Much better than siphoning.
Can't wait to try.

my tube and hose barb come from a gasoline kit for rc cars. i use hexane(walmart:kleanstrip odorless mineral spirits) so i assumed it was safe. teflon tube is forsure safe. i just dont have any bits that are still long enough. i have evaped solvent run thru the system and it evaps clean. i recomind this solvent. i have gotten light yellow, white, or clear every single pull since i started using it.

the origin of this technique comes from dirty bastard for profit producers in the area. they setup shop at a flophouse and do the xtract in an hr, quick cool the solvent, get paid and leave. or so the story goes.

i guess money does drive innovation..

i now man... i now there was an error somewhere the only way i see this happening is that i somehow forgot to freeze my jars and reused already saturated hexane. i was just sittin here poin around last night and the scale popped off with that number.

i really just cant remember... but forgettign to freeze my solvent would have been a big booboo >.>

I've had tea in HDPE jugs with both naptha and xylene sitting intact for many months and they held up fine. Probably other contirbuting factors like excess heat or cold caused the problems.

why are you trying so hard to discredit me to the point where you are intentionally misreading what I type?

Not trying to discredit. Just want to make sure correct info gets out there.

In my experience HDPE containers work just fine and we don't need to sound the alarm because you made a mistake in your extraction.

Many thanks.

Hello. Just wondering, why in step 3 does it say you should never move your jug after the soup and solvent are added?

thats just a lab thing. you could but its always good to design your operation around your experiment so you dont have to run back and forth with a lye jug.

good luck i still think this is the pest tek ive ever read here. use it every time.
