changa and phenibut?

I finished my first batch of changa yesterday. it is a mixture of caapi leaf in 10x caapi vine extract with a little bit of marshmallow and peppermint for good measure. rather then going 1:1 I decided to ease into a bit more.. my changa is 38% dmt by weight

in the past i have taken phenibut (has gaba-b activity) before trips occasionally because it puts me in a good mood. I was interested in trying the changa tonite but I took phenibut this morning..

Some sites say phenibut and MAOIs are contraindicated but don't give a reason why while other sites say it is OK. I'd like to err on the side of caution but I was wondering if anyone has any information regarding combining the two? If I have to wait another day that is fine I am curious as to the potential interaction.
 
Well OK this may be VERY powerful. Phenibut is SWIMs long term nootropic ally, used irregularly.

First of all I would suggest a good supplier of Phenibut. SWIM went through 4 brands and some of them are nasty/adulterated/weak/inactive. SWIM recommends cerebralhealth.

Way to take it: start with 1.5-2g to estimate how your body processes phenibut, some people have high/low tolerance to it depending on their metabolism/body chemistry. SWIM read if one abused other GABA substances like GHB, phenibut may not work at all.

Take it on empty stomach in the morning. Maybe a tiny bit of food before hand so not to stress/damage stomach lining if one's stomach is sensitive. Its very sour and highly acidic.

Takes at least 4-6 hours to feel its full effects. For SWIM its perfect when decent mind buzz is felt without physical side-effects. Its easy to feel when one's taken too much - if that happens just sleep it over. Also, amazing dopamine rebound effect happens - SWIM wakes up 3-4 hours later feeling super energetic/refreshed for the whole day.

If taken in the morning I recommend you proceed experimenting with Changa in the evening if the effects are felt.

I will repeat myself and say this may be very VERY powerful combination. Please start low. 1/5 or less at first, and see how it goes. Theres not enough research and experimentation on this.

Few years back tried less than a gram of quickly brewed powdered mimosa when under the effects of phenibut. He doesnt remember if MAOI were involved, he suspects he did not even take MAOI. 10 minutes after consuming most magical effects started happening, lied down and closed his eyes. Magical, fantasyesque creates started inviting to go down the water well with him. He will name this experience "magical" because thats how it felt. Absolutely amazing. SWIM wont elaborate further but Chaliponga+Mimosa for him feels "ancient", thats how he classifies his experiences.

Due to living in a student-filled house with about 7 people and its being morning SWIM was forced to run down the bathroom drink water and force-purge because he was not ready for this in those settings. He spent next 10-15 minutes at flatmates room asking him to talk to him and keep him "there".

SWIM also read salvia report on phenibut - huge potentiation effects. SWIM will be very carefully experimenting with this in the future.
 
I really like Phenibut. I love it with tryptophan. Perfect synergy. Works very well. I've not tried it with Changa. I can't see where there would be a problem psychopharmacologicaly speaking. Just be careful. Slice been curious about mulungu lately, immense that would go well with Changa.
 
thanks for the replies. I did end up trying it and I was completely blown away.. don't know if it was just the changa or the synergy between the two but the end effect was breathtaking to say the least.

What dose of phenibut did you take? How long after ingestion did you wait to smoke the changa? During the peak or after?

Have you tried this changa while not on phenibut to compare the effects?

Ideally, for me at least, it would be awesome if phenibut could increase the effects of changa at .5-1.0 gram. This dose is nothing more than a very mild moodlift for me whereas higher doses tend to become overly intoxicating and impaire my judgment beyond a comfortable level, resulting in constant redosing that leaves me with insomnia for days (yes, be careful with phenibut, the dopamine rebound is vicious in a way that puts GHB and the like to shame).

How about 5-htp? Is there a reason you would choose tryptophan over 5-htp in general and for this combo?

I took 2 grams in the morning which is nothing more then a moodlift for me.. no intoxication. I smoked the changa that night after the peak.

Unfortunately I haven't tried changa without taking phenibut yet so I can't really compare..
 
If taken without care Phenibut is addictive. If taken several days in a row it manifests in severe withdrawal effects, depending on how long it was abused. It also builds up tolerance pretty quick. Use it wisely, no more than once a week.


If at 2grams nothing more than slight moodlift was felt, next time take a bit more, maybe 2.5g.

If it does not produce a nice clean feeling, but dirty intoxication its most likely a brand. There were a lot of low quality phenibut brands in the past.
