I decanted the small jar's EA with most of the goo and added that EA to the larger original salting jar. Added fresh EA again to the small jar and I'll see how it goes. Maybe the 2 rounds of fresh EA and scratching it will eventually start crystallizing like orchidist saw in one case (if I read that correctly).

Over 8 hours later and the little dab of elmers gluey goo I pulled up to dry ...is still gluey. If it doesn't dry out overnight again I'll probably add some warm water to it and see if if that will thin out to evap.
