Come up audio?

Hello,

When I smoke DMT i always get the same audio as I start coming up. The buzzing which i know is commonly experienced however with me this is always followed by the sound of me plunging under water. My question really was does this happen to you or if not what noises do you always experience at the beggining of a trip?

I often hear cycles or loops of frequencies. It also kinda sounds like the air has been sucked out of the room. Those are just the initial sounds which are "optional" anyway. The sounds at the peak are of a completely different caliber.

SWIM gets a half eerie half fascinating chiming or reverberated bell sound as the fractals unfold. Always with the buzzing wind up but it seems it will slowly turn into that chiming.

On the way up I always get a sound that reminds me of being scanned it passes through me stops and goes back, Also feel the noise as it passes. Then that sound can turn into talking, laughing etc.

The buzzing tone is always there for me too, sometimes it scans like ewok mentioned, other times its focused in one place, sometimes drawing my attention to a problem area, either emotionally or physically. I think it's like being given a scan to make sure you're ready to handle the depth of the experience. I remember one journey, a friend had given me a healthy dose of spice he'd extracted from P. Viridis sandwiched between some changa. It was one of the strongest experiences I've ever had, very fire oriented (artwork in the room and previous experiences synching up with the heavy trip methinks). During the experience, that crescendo of sound, which to me occurs from inhalation to liftoff, and sometimes throughout, depending on the experience, occurred nine times (this was a synchronicity in itself, my numerology life path number and mayan sign tone equating to 9). Each time, the bodyload was so intense, I was unable to let myself push through into hyperspace.. its like I sat there at the edge of the wormhole, circling around it for eternity. I know there was some fear involved, not even my first experience was -that- intense. Id also like to ask, before I ramble off-topic, if many of you have experimented with background music for spice voyages? My first and also several others were accompanied by music. In most cases, this was an extremely beneficial process.. I'll never forget the one and only time I tried to trip with metal.. ack. Got spanked very hard for that one, heh.

I find music distracting and find it keeps me here stopping the breakthrough or pulling me back prematurely, I feel it inhibits the journey rather than benefiting it. Other psychedelics mix with music perfectly but just don't find that true for dmt.

Yeah music is the same with me with all others its a good combo but DMT overpowers the music and makes it more of a distraction. cheers for the replies. very interesting

I usually hear the buzzing, but the last time I did it I also heard some kind of mouth-toungeish sort of noise? It was odd, but I was excited to hear something! haha

If you think of the light spectrum, we see visible light, which is so normal to us that we do not hear the frequency. When you smoke DMT, you are raising your frequency in the colour spectrum to the violet colour, which is gamma rays.

If the sun was to have a huge solar storm, we would be hit by powerful gamma rays which will more and likely give a natural DMT trip.

You sure have some interesting ideas when it comes to dmt.

SWIM has had a water splashing sound a few times during breakthrough. Only when she would go to one recurring "destination" though.

She has these typical "songs" that play at sub-breakthrough, then different ones for breakthrough, and then a third set when she's coming back down. Often, she'll have sub-breakthrough doses just to listen to the music.

I hear the buzzing carrier noise but it seems like "buzzing" and "static" aren't accurate enough to describe what it is. It's more like popping up and down a spectrum of sound, and the movements of the small pieces making up my visuals are moving in synchronization with the pops.

I think Terrence McKenna always described it as sounding like cellophane crinkling. Didn't get this effect until I was on a heavy dose of LSD and in my infant like state I followed the impulse to put a cigarette wrapper up to my ear and started playing with it. With the right kind of ear the sound of it sends the same chill waves up my spine I feel when I'm coming up on vaped DMT and I start to hear it. I also think I should emphasize how my visuals and the entire effect of the drug move in synch with the rapid popping I hear. It's much easier to recollect experiences and the visuals when I can focus on and remember this buzzing/popping/shimmery/rapidly-oscillating/nitrousy-wah-wah-but-more-vivid sound because of how the whole thing moves with it.

personally i feel that part of the sound is simply the barrier between dimensions being streched open and the other "songs" are kind of like picking up parts of messages on a ham radio in the next dimentions. it really bothers me to have music, television, anything artifical going when i launch but if im outside in nature all the sounds are soothing.

Really ? I googled solar storms in 2012 and NASA is warning about it so your theory could be not really that off but time will tell. :)

Very interesting information.

When I am first coming up, I hear something of a buzz or hum. Sometimes, I am so shocked or taken aback by my encounter that I don't realize that I am hearing this hum or buzz until returning a bit, only to hear the hum or buzz fading away. It's odd.

Other times, I hear what appears to be different tones or frequencies at different stages of the experience. Sometimes, I enter into wild fractals that have a theme of their own, as though they reflected their own "temple" or "dimension", each with its own accompanying tone or frequency. Sometimes, it sounds like alien communication, that is intelligible only in the sense of the thoughts or impressions I get while hearing them. Once, I was hearing different types of songs -- beautiful tunes and singing, but not in a language I could distinguish. Sometimes, I am not able to tell the difference between what I am hearing or what is such a strong "imagination" -- like, "am I just THINKING this really hard, or actually hearing it?" Then, I begin to wonder what the difference is.

After my first break through experience, I heard distant howls and moans. Very eerie, but very meaningful at the same time.

I guess it's just that each experience is so different, but audio seems to be a factor in greater or lesser degrees each and every time.

Or more likely skin cancer

Whenever I smoke dmt it sounds and feels like an aeroplane taking off. Starts off as a low humming, but the volume and pitch quickly build up.
